That’s why we decided to bring something truly unique to the heart of the Orava mountains – a wine that represents both our region and our resort, Oravský Háj. This idea led to the creation of ARYVA – a special limited-edition wine made exclusively for our guests and visitors of the Oravský Háj Wine Festival.

Why was ARYVA wine created?

The inspiration came from the overwhelmingly positive feedback to the first Oravský Háj Wine Festival, which proved that even in northern Slovakia, there is growing interest in quality wines and unique gourmet experiences.

ARYVA was born as a bridge between a love for tradition, respect for nature, and a desire to cultivate a wine culture in the region. The goal was to create a wine that carries the story, soul, and character of Orava.

ARYVA Cuvée – Exclusive Limited Edition

ARYVA is an exceptional cuvée combining the elegance of Pinot Noir and Merlot. The wine matured for eight months in oak barrels, resulting in a velvety depth and a rich flavor profile. Its aroma reveals notes of cherries in chocolate, while the taste delights with hints of wild berries and dark chocolate.

Crafted according to a unique recipe, this wine is available only at Oravský Háj – you won’t find or taste it anywhere else.

The meaning and story behind the name ARYVA

The name ARYVA comes from a 13th-century Gallic word used to describe Orava – a swift-flowing river. The label draws from historical engravings and archival regional motifs, fused with a modern illustration of our resort. Every detail on the label carries meaning, symbolizing the harmony between history and the present.
