Whether you’re curious to try horseback riding for the first time or you’re an experienced rider, come enjoy a ride at our resort in the heart of Orava. We offer riding lessons for both children and adults.
Our horses are friendly, calm, and used to interacting with people of all ages. Under the guidance of a skilled instructor, you can try riding in an enclosed arena, learn the basics of horsemanship, or embark on a scenic trail ride through the surrounding hills and meadows.
Kabarda Horses from the Caucasus Mountains
Our resort is home to a unique breeding station for Kabarda horses, a rare and majestic breed known for its strength, endurance, and elegance.
Originating from the northern Caucasus—specifically from Adygea and today’s Kabardino-Balkarian Republic—Kabarda horses are ideally suited for riders seeking a reliable partner for long treks, challenging terrain, or work in mountainous regions. Their stamina and calm temperament make them a perfect choice for both beginners and seasoned riders.

Riding Club Oravský Háj
Indoor riding arena
Our modern indoor riding arena (40×20 meters) allows for year-round riding, regardless of weather conditions. Whether it’s winter or summer, you can ride safely and comfortably.
The indoor arena is especially beneficial for beginners, as it reduces external distractions that could affect the horse’s behavior. It’s also equipped with angled safety barriers to protect the rider’s legs, making it ideal for children learning to ride.
For experienced riders, we offer jumping equipment for advanced practice.
Riding school
Our riding courses are offered individually, combining theory and practice. The instructor provides theoretical explanations during the riding session.
Each lesson starts with grooming and saddling the horse, followed by practical riding in the arena. Riders learn proper posture, how to control the horse, understand horse behavior, and practice different gaits such as walk, trot, and canter.
Minimum lesson duration: 30 minutes. Available from Wednesday to Sunday, from 11:00 to 15:00. Advance booking required

For children under 18, riding is only allowed with written parental consent (signed upon arrival at the riding arena).
