The surroundings of ORAVSKÝ HÁJ offer trails both for amateur and advanced cyclists. There are mountain and road trails suitable for everyone.

Do not worry about transporting your own bicycles; you can use bicycles from our rental office to go to cycling trips.

Cycling trails in Orava

Ústie nad Priehradou (Estuary above the Dam)
A trail suitable also for less capable cyclists and families. It starts from Trstená to Tvrdošín. At the top of the Kamenný vŕšok hill you will enjoy a beautiful view of the Western Tatras panorama and a view of the Orava Dam surrounded by the peaks of Babia hora, Pilsko and Magurka. The trail ends in the town of Trstená. The distance between Trstená and Tvrdošín is 5.5 km.

Zábiedovo
The trail starts in Trstená and leads to Tvrdošín to the village of Zábiedovo. In a gentle sloping gradient it continues through Zábiedovo village towards the valley of the Skorušinské Hills. From the viewing tower at the top of Skorušina hill you can enjoy panoramic views of the entire Orava. The distance from Trstená to Zábiedovo is 12 km.

Oravice
The trail starts in Trstená and leads towards Tvrdošín to Podbiel. After a short break in the Oravice recreation area you can relax bathing in thermal swimming pools. Ahead of you is only a continuous 20 km long descend from Oravice via Vitanová and Liesek to Trstená.

Trstená-Nowy Targ
The trail starts in the Polish town Nowy Targ and continues to Ludzmierz, Czarny Dunajec and Rogoznik. The whole track is lined with fields and meadows, offering a great view of the Babia Hora mountain and the Polish Tatras. From the Suchá Hora mountain the trail continues to Liesek and from Liesek you reach the end of the route in Trstená. This cycling trip takes about two hours and the trail is almost 40 kilometres long.
